Applied Intuition builds the software stack that makes machines drive themselves — and it does this across virtually every industry that moves. Founded in 2017, it sells three layers of technology: (1) simulation, data management, and testing tools that let engineers develop and validate autonomy software without putting vehicles on real roads; (2) a Vehicle Operating System ("Vehicle OS") that replaces the fragmented embedded software inside cars, trucks, and military vehicles; and (3) full autonomy stacks — end-to-end AI software for self-driving. Customers span 18 of the top 20 global automakers, the U.S. Department of Defense, and operators in trucking, construction, mining, and agriculture. Its "Dana" platform is a newer data and AI infrastructure layer powering both its own products and customers' internal development. Think of Applied Intuition as the picks-and-shovels supplier for the autonomous machine era: OEMs and defense primes pay recurring software fees rather than building all the hard tooling themselves.
