Cowboy Space Corp.

Cowboy Space Corp. (formerly Aetherflux, founded 2024) builds vertically integrated orbital infrastructure for AI computing. Its LEO satellites harvest abundant solar energy in space to power on-orbit GPU compute clusters — sidestepping the electricity, land, and water constraints crushing Earth-based data centers. The company transmits energy via infrared lasers (space-to-Earth and space-to-space) and delivers high-bandwidth optical data links between satellites and ground. Its defining architectural bet: the rocket's upper stage and the data center are a single co-designed unit, not a payload bolted onto a third-party vehicle. This forces the company to build its own launch vehicle — a massive capex bet — but one that, if successful, lets it control launch economics and cadence. CEO Baiju Bhatt co-founded Robinhood. The roadmap: a power-beaming demo satellite via SpaceX in late 2026, an optical-comms cluster in 2027, and first flight of its proprietary rocket in 2028.
