Factory builds AI software development agents — called "Droids" — that autonomously handle complete engineering tasks for large enterprise teams. Rather than autocomplete suggestions, Droids take full ownership of work: writing and reviewing code, running tests, managing migrations, handling incident response, and deploying continuously. Engineers delegate tasks and stay focused on high-level decisions while Droids execute in the background. The platform is LLM-agnostic, IDE-agnostic, and interface-agnostic — Droids run in CLI, IDEs, Slack, Linear, browsers, or via custom scripts, integrating into whatever stack an enterprise already uses. Buyers are CIOs, CTOs, and VP-level engineering leaders at Fortune 1000 companies. Named customers include NVIDIA, Adobe, Adyen, Klarna, EY, MongoDB, Bayer, and Zapier. Factory was founded in 2023 in San Francisco by CEO Matan Grinberg and CTO Eno Reyes (former Hugging Face).
