Genera

Genera is building a platform to solve what it calls AI's real capacity crisis: not compute, but deployment. Enterprise AI companies can't hire enough Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) — the senior technical people who embed inside customer accounts, wire AI products into legacy systems, and turn pilots into production. Today, that gap gets filled by traditional System Integrators (a $450B market), who are slow, expensive, and misaligned with AI's pace. Genera's thesis is that SIs are fundamentally the wrong answer for AI deployments and that the function can be automated, productized, or dramatically scaled. In practice, Genera operates a "Deployments Team" that appears to work directly with enterprise customers while an engineering team (split between San Francisco and Bengaluru) builds the underlying software platform. The target buyer is any fast-growing AI company that can't scale its deployment capacity without ballooning headcount.
