Harvey builds AI software for lawyers. Its platform helps law firms and in-house corporate legal teams do the everyday work that used to require armies of junior attorneys — reading contracts, drafting documents, doing legal research, running due diligence for deals, tracking regulations, and preparing for litigation. Instead of a simple chatbot, Harvey ships "agents": AI programs that can carry a legal task from start to finish, pulling from a client's own documents and precedents. Customers include most of the top 100 U.S. law firms, hundreds of in-house legal departments, and — increasingly — asset managers and other professional-services firms. Harvey sells an enterprise subscription and pairs the software with a team of "legal engineers" (lawyers who work at Harvey) who sit next to customers, teach them how to use the tool, and help build custom agents for specific practice areas like corporate M&A, litigation, tax, and regulatory work. The company is headquartered in San Francisco and operates in the U.S., Europe (London, Paris, Munich, Madrid, Stockholm, Dublin), Canada (Toronto), India (Bengaluru), and Asia-Pacific (Singapore, Sydney). It was founded in 2022 by Winston Weinberg, a former litigator, and Gabe Pereyra, a former research scientist at Google DeepMind and Meta.
