Scale AI builds the data infrastructure that trains and evaluates the world's AI systems. Its core business is high-quality human-labeled training data, reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF), red-teaming, and model evaluation — sold to frontier AI labs, large enterprises, and governments. On top of that foundation, Scale runs two additional lines: an enterprise GenAI platform (Scale GP) that deploys agentic AI applications into large organizations, and a Global Public Sector arm that builds custom AI systems and national LLMs for governments. Buyers range from OpenAI and Google to the U.S. Department of Defense and sovereign nations in the Gulf. Founded in 2016 by Alexandr Wang (now at Meta), headquartered in San Francisco, with major delivery hubs in Washington D.C., London, Doha, and Riyadh. The company is now run by interim CEO Jason Droege following Wang's departure in June 2025.
