Serval

Serval is an AI-native IT service management (ITSM) platform founded in 2024 by Jake Stauch and Alex McLeod, who previously built product and engineering at Verkada. The platform replaces legacy ticketing systems like ServiceNow with AI agents that handle employee requests in plain language — resolving help desk tickets, provisioning software access, onboarding/offboarding employees, and automating long-tail operational tasks. Instead of rigid workflows, IT admins describe automations in natural language and Serval's AI generates production-ready, auditable logic. The platform unifies help desk, access management, asset tracking, and workflow automation in one system. It integrates with Okta, Microsoft Entra, Jamf, Workday, Slack, and email. Its go-to-market is flexible: full rip-and-replace of legacy ITSM, or an AI layer on top of existing systems for customers locked into long-term contracts. Customers include Perplexity, Together AI, Clay, Mercor, Fox, Notion, Vercel, and Brex. Beyond IT, Serval is actively expanding automations into HR, Finance, Legal, and Security workflows.
