Skild AI builds a single, general-purpose AI brain — the "Skild Brain" — that can control virtually any robot for any task. Instead of custom-programming each robot from scratch, hardware makers and enterprise customers plug Skild's model into their existing platforms — humanoids, robotic arms, warehouse bots, quadrupeds — and get a ready-to-run intelligence layer. The model is trained on internet video of humans, physics simulations across thousands of robot morphologies, and live deployment telemetry from real-world robots. It's sold as a cloud SaaS platform with an API, so customers pay for access rather than buying bespoke software. Current deployments span warehouses, factory assembly, security inspection, data centers, logistics delivery, and construction. Long-term target is consumer homes. Founded in 2023 by CMU AI professors Deepak Pathak (CEO) and Abhinav Gupta (President), the company is headquartered in Pittsburgh with major hubs in San Mateo and Bengaluru.
