Sunday builds Memo, a wheeled home robot that autonomously handles everyday chores — dishes, laundry, table clearing, and coffee — without a human remotely controlling it inside your house. The key differentiator: instead of costly teleoperation, Sunday trains Memo using data from a distributed network of "Memory Developers" who perform household tasks wearing a proprietary Skill Capture Glove (~$200/unit vs. ~$20,000 for teleoperation rigs). That glove captures human movements and feeds them into Memo's onboard AI. To date, the company has collected ~10 million real-world task episodes across 500+ homes. Memo uses a wheeled base, an adjustable-height column reaching up to 7 feet, and soft robotic arms designed for safety around families. Founded by Stanford robotics researchers Tony Zhao and Cheng Chi — co-creators of ALOHA, diffusion policy, and transformer adaptations for robotics — Sunday is targeting a Founding Family Beta (50 households) in late 2026, with broader consumer launch to follow.
