Town builds a personalized AI assistant — called a "Townie" — for knowledge workers. Each Townie gets its own @town.com email address, connects to a user's Gmail/Outlook, Google Calendar, Slack, Google Drive, CRM, and 50+ other tools, and builds a persistent model of who that user is: their voice, relationships, priorities, and work patterns. Rather than waiting to be prompted, Town proactively triages inboxes, drafts replies in the user's voice, schedules meetings, prepares briefings, tracks follow-ups, and runs multi-step routines across connected apps. The more someone uses it, the more contextually accurate it becomes — that accumulated "personal graph" is the moat. Town emerged from beta in June 2026 alongside its Series A. The company was founded in late 2024 by Jean-Denis Greze, former CTO of Plaid, and Tony Vincent, former Director of Applied AI Product at Google. It originally launched as a tax-and-compliance AI for small businesses before pivoting to the broader personal assistant thesis. Primary buyers today are prosumers and busy knowledge workers; a team/shared-workspace tier is in active development.
